A day in Felixtowe
My first visit to Suffolk and a lovely day out with my good friend Polly. I took a few snaps on a walk around the coast - just love all the colours you find by the seaside!

The Finished Finch
The Goldfinch is finally finished! Had to force myself to stop embroidering otherwise I could have gone on forever! Anyhow, here he is. If you like the look of him he's up for sale in my etsy shop with the other birds.
Now...on to the next!

Touch of Gold
Here's a little taster of some work in progress! I've been happily working away at more birds to add to the collection and have nearly finished the Goldfinch. I'll post some more pictures of the finished product soon!

Ideal Home
I was thrilled for my little blue dress to be included in the current exhibition 'Ideal Home' at the Chelsea Space, as part of the London Design Festival. The show, curated by Donald Smith, has an exciting mix of artworks from Gavin Turk's 'Egg Seat' to Barney Bubbles' 'Do It Yourself' LP sleeves.
Some of my favourite works include Gerrit Rietveld's beautifully composed 'Red and Blue Chair', Yinka Shonibare's 'Doll House' modelled on his Victorian town house and Rachel Whiteread's 'Herringbone Floor' among many others! You can find out more about the show here which runs from the 20th Sept - 22nd October.
Also big thanks to Ivan Jones for these photos taken as the exhibition was being set up! He's a great photographer and has captured some wonderful portraits. You can see more of his work here, and also have a look at his blog!

Treasures in the attic!
It always amazes me how much stuff I collect! Since being home I've rummaged through box after box, taking bags to charity shops, putting things on eBay, and yesterday had my very first boot fair! Dad and I even braved the attic in an attempt to clear out some of the old boxes (some of which hadn't been opened in 30 years!!)
There were some hidden treasures up there, including these drawings done by my brother when he was really little. I love his style, simplicity and truth to the object, a drawing style I only wish I could re-create!
